Oh well if I had been chosen today would have been reveal day for the 5th Bead Soup blog-Party. But alas. Not. But that certainly has not kept me from “Being busier than an one armed paper hanger in a thunder storm” as my grandmother would have said. Norma Truevy, Emanda Johnson, and Alice Craddick and I are doing a mini bead swap. I am not sure when reveal day is but I hope to be ready. Alice sent me some amazing Crystal Clay to play with. I can tell you it is a challenge. First of all what can I do to do it justice. She sent me copper bezels and a copper toggle. So I am going with copper which thrills me. I had some copper dry pigment, so I thought I could use that to color the clay. There were tiny glass crystals in the package. I went into my flat backed crystals stash and chose some to make different designs. Here is what I came up with. I haven’t finished my design, but I thought I would use copper chain and the clay beads between the pieces.

We had my new daughter’s bridal shower last Sunday. When I went to leave the hostess mentioned that she would love for me to paint a lamp globe for her. I said get one and I will paint it. Well she already had one, so I have painted the globe for her. I tried to use my transparent glass paint but I could not get it to set. So I wound up using acrylic paint. I am not pleased with the results because I do not like acrylic paint. I am a china painter and oil painter a watercolor painter and a pastel painter but not an acrylic painter :^)

Be blessed to be a blessing
